Art Exhibition

Need a hint?

The underlined word on the front gives a hint to what you will need. Now where have you seen some of that?

Having retrieved the item underlined on the front look at the back of the leaflet for a place to start.

Using the string that was used to tie together the postcards, thread it through the hole which says "start here". Continue threading following the order of the roman numerals to reveal a number.

In threading the string through the holes in the order directed you will see the number 5.

Business Cards

Need a hint?

Have a good look at the edges of the business cards.

Notice some scribbles on the edges?

Maybe these match up?

In matching the shorts edges of the business cards that have some extra scribbles on you see TWENTY SEVEN.

Chocolatier

Need a hint?

Have a read of the punny reviews.

Link the puns to the stars.

There are four stars for the first review. Take the fourth letter of the pun.

For each review pick out the pun and take the letter indicated by the number of stars. So for the first review the pun word used is "mint" and the rating has four stars so you take the "t". Doing this for each review gives three.

Menu

Need a hint?

The words that are underlined in the top left hand corner give you a clue.

The words line and word are underlined. This hint can be used with the prices.

Using the prices, pick out a word from each menu item. For example, Bread Basket at £3.5 tells you to go to line 3 and take word 5. Do this for each menu item.

Picking out all the words gives - "Time to order my favourite combo and it would be out of line not to order a dessert. I will have chicken curry and a bowl of fries with a large strawberry cheesecake. What is the total?" Reading the prices off the menu and finding the total gives 2.3 + 2.5 + 2.2 =7.

Parking Receipt

Need a hint?

That barcode doesn't quite look right.

Have a look at it from a different angle.

Tilt to read. Look at the barcode at a 90 degree angle. From the side.

The hidden message in the barcode reads "space minus paid". Taking the amount paid (10) from the space number (12) gives 2.

Perfect Pairings

Need a hint?

Look at the wine and cheese pairings in the order suggested.

Those are some strange names for the wine. And the cheese come to think of it.

Take the names of the wines and cheeses in the order written on the front of the leaflet.

The order from the front says white, rose, red. Taking the names of the wines (and paired cheeses) in this order gives (with some formatting) "the difference between Jonathans years of experince and Amelias" which is 15.

Postcards

Need a hint?

What beautiful postcards. Take some time to read about the various places.

In each postcard there is something that stands out. Pick these out for each postcard. I wonder what order they go in?

The stamps hold the key to the order. Dolbadarn Castle - pick out the blue letters, Ffestiniog Railway - pick out the underlined letters, Llyn Padarn - list the missing letters, Snowdonia National Park - pick out the bold letters.

The class of the stamps gives you the order (1st, 2nd etc..). The message across the post cards reads "half my number is less than four, add one to my double when bakers are near". This gives 6.

Spa

Need a hint?

Pigmento is the key.

The answer is in the border to Spa Time. Use it with the key.

Start on green. Imagine if you placed that brown circle in the circle in the middle of pigmento? It would point to the letter O.

For each circle around Spa Time the line points a different way. Look what letters these would point to if they were sat in the middle of the word pigmento on the back page. The message reads "opening time on Monday" which is 8.

WiFi

Need a hint?

Notice the numbers instead of letters in The Dragon Hotel?

What letters are they replacing? Can you see some more numbers on the flyer?

The third letter is replaced with a 3, the 6th with a 6. This is not a coincidence.

We know the third letter labbeled as 3 = e and the sixth letter labelled as 6 = a. We can infer T=1, H=2, E=3 etc. Using this on the password gives "ten add one" which is 11.

Local Attractions

Need a hint?

Those ordered symbols seems familiar?

Can you match these symbols to other items from the hotel welcome pack?

Matching the symbols to the items from the hotel welcome pack, in the order they appear down the leaflet, gives you an order to the puzzles.

The order for your answers (when you have worked them all out) are: Menu, Spa Time, Wi fi, Parking Receipt, Postcards, Art Exhibition, Chocolatier, Perfect Pairing and Business Cards. Go enter your code in the online safe.
