Sleigh what?

This page contains hints for the puzzles contained in the Sleigh What Christmas Puzzle Card.

For each piece of information you need, you can find a general hint which tells you where on the card to look. This is followed by more detailed hints and finally the answer.

Hints for When

The last four words of the first paragraph give a hint.

The clue lies in the words "seeing double". Go through the words and pick out all the double letters.

The first double is in the word add, so take the D. The second double is in the word three, so take the E. Picking out all the double letters gives: December Tenth.

Hints for Who

The shape of the presents is key.

The number of sides of each present holds the key to which letter to take from the names above them.

Rachel's present has three sides so take the third letter, C. Carol's present has four sides, so take the forth letter, O and so on. Taking all five letters in this way gives Comet.

To find out who stole the data, focus on the presents in the top right hand corner of the main image.

To find out when the data was stolen, focus on text on the inside of the card.

To find out how they got Santa's secure computer key, look for the blocks in the main image.

Hints for Where

Focus on the information on the largest piece of paper on the notice board. Another image on the card will help you.

The information tells you to "press 8 then extension...". So for Mrs Claus this would be 86337. Use the phone dial on the inside of the card to help you.

For Mrs Claus (86337), 8 can stand for T, U, or V. 6 can stand for M, N or O and so on. This is how predictive text works on old mobiles. You may find it useful to list the possibilities for each number to help spell out the words. You need to do this for all three numbers to give: Under The Tree.

Hints for Why

You can find a key to the lights somewhere else on the card.

Each light represents a letter and the key is on the back of the card.

The first light points to the left, using the key on the back, this gives a P. The second light points bottom right, this gives an E. Continuing to collect the letters using the key at the back of the card gives: Peer Pressure.

Hints for How

The blocks in the main image all contain a letter.

Collect the letters from the blocks. Notice there are two colours. The answer is made up of two five letter words.

Collecting all the red letters gives "lkcuy" and the green letters gives "sugse". Rearranging these letters spells the answer: Lucky Guess.

The lights along the bottom of the main image hold the answer.

To find out where they are hiding the naughty or nice list, focus on the noticeboard in the main image.
